COVID19

“As we navigate the ever-evolving landscape of education in the wake of the global pandemic, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment stands paramount. The implementation of robust COVID-19 precautions within educational institutes has become an imperative step in safeguarding the well-being of students, educators, and the entire educational community.”

IN SIU WE TAKE THE PRECAUTIONS OF COVID19

General precautions

  • Encourage vaccination: Encourage all staff and eligible students to get vaccinated against COVID-19. Vaccination is one of the most effective ways to prevent serious illness, hospitalization, and death from COVID-19.
  • Promote mask-wearing: Encourage or require mask-wearing in indoor public settings, especially in crowded areas or where there is poor ventilation.
  • Improve ventilation: Improve ventilation by opening windows and doors, using fans, or upgrading HVAC systems.
  • Maintain social distancing: Encourage or require social distancing of at least 6 feet between individuals, especially in indoor settings.
  • Implement regular hand hygiene practices: Encourage frequent handwashing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Stay home if sick: Encourage staff and students to stay home if they are sick and to get tested for COVID-19 if they have symptoms.
  • Conduct regular cleaning and disinfection: Conduct regular cleaning and disinfection of frequently touched surfaces.

By following these precautions, education institutions can help to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and keep their communities safe and healthy.
