Act, Statutes and Ordinances

We at Saroj International University strongly believe and attribute significance to academic landscape, statutes, ordinances and acts forming the backbone of our educational policies, that guide all institutions, educators, and students alike. It is equally valued to Understand such legislative instruments and enable all the stake holders to ‘know how’ of these acts, proves to be pivotal in navigating the rights, responsibilities, and parameters that define and drive modern education principles.

As your ambitious journey starts at SIU, you can get to know these laws and regulations that govern educational practices, ensuring compliance, fostering inclusivity, and championing the rights of learners and educators, comprehensively, but in very easy and applicable terms.

Statutes, and Ordinances are the two primary types of legislation that govern educational institutions adding some acts (Union & State Govts.’ as well) to complement smooth conduct of education pursuit and learning. These laws establish the framework for the operation of different Institutes, departments and directorates along with centres of excellence, and they set forth the rights and responsibilities of students, faculty, and staff.

Acts

Acts are the highest form of legislation. They are enacted by the union Government (Government of India, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh) along with all other Govt., Private and Statutory bodies, Councils a, UGC, AIU, AICTE etc., which are bodies of legislative and directive nature that are responsible for making laws for a particular academic jurisdiction. Acts are typically written in broad terms, and they establish the overall framework for the regulation of educational institutions. In our institute we follow all the education acts bestowed on us by competent authorities.

Statutes

Statutes are subordinate laws that are enacted by the university and administrative bodies. These bodies are typically appointed, advised and function as per the rule of legislature or the executive branch of government. Statutes provide more detail about how acts will be implemented. We make a healthy environment to perform well acts.

Ordinances

Ordinances are the lowest form of legislation. They are enacted by governing bodies of the University, served on respective institutions and departments, such as boards, Chancellor Office etc. Ordinances are specific to the institution, and they set forth the rules and procedures that govern the institution’s day-to-day operations. We understand the importance and relevance of acts, statutes, and ordinances, as they help to ensure that educational institutions are operated in a fair, equitable, and efficient manner. The said laws also protect the rights of students, faculty, and staff, and they help to maintain academic standards and in SIU we strictly follow all the acts, statutes, and ordinances.
